End of Session One
Greetings families and students of the ICS Summer Fun Camp, Session One:
It's hard to believe the two weeks are over already! For those of you who will be moving on to other things, thank you for joining us and have a wonderful rest of your summer. For those of you who are back in session two, we're looking forward to seeing you next week for all new games & activities!
I will be stepping down from my brief time as director, and would like to welcome the talented Mrs. Juniata Wible who will be taking over as the Director of Session Two.
Thanks to all for a memorable week!
May God bless you as you continue to enjoy your summer, whether it is here or elsewhere.
Regards,
Chris Meyer,
Director of Session One

Age 4: End of Session One
Dear parents,
ICS summer Camp is terribly sorry that your child could not make it to the last day of Session One. On behalf of the teachers and the assistants, I would like to thank you for enrolling your child into the Summer Fun Camp. We hope that your child had a meaningful learning experience, and we look forward to having them in the Second Session or in 2015.
Yours sincerely,
Reuel Prasad
Assistant Director

For our last day of Session One Drama we had a
choice of activities after we reviewed the stories we read throughout. The
children enjoyed playing charades (acting out an action or thing) or making up
a sequential story and illustrating it in a "magic book." For those
not returning for Session Two - enjoy the rest of your summer!
Today in art class, red A, B, & C finished their
puppets by adding final details with crayon, gluing on googly eyes and adding
pipe cleaner arms. Yellow D & E class completed all their unfinished art
projects in their art folder and played "knees on blue.” Meanwhile, children in Red D, E, Yellow A, B
& C made a colorful bookmark with transparent paper. Since it was the last
class of session 1, children were given time to complete any work they had not
finished and they brought their art portfolio home.
Today
in games & movement for Red D& E and Yellow A, B, & C: we talked about sharing the good news, and ran
through our mega whopper super awesome obstacle course! The Day 9 Theme for red A, B, &
C and yellow D & E:: Fruit of the Spirit. We will discuss the "fruits" inside us and
how we can show them to other people.
Activity: it is a game called
fire, wood, water.

In art - Today was our last day of art for Session
1! All students finished any incomplete projects, filled out a Week 2 Review
Sheet, and had the opportunity to begin working in the Coloring Book they made
yesterday as a class. We had a great time learning about how to use art as a
gift, and the students are very excited to finally bring home their Art Folder
portfolios full of beautiful projects! Mr. Tim, Miss Cher and Miss Faye all
hope you have a fantastic and keep making art on your own at home!
In Games & Movement for the last day of session
one, the students requested to play the all-time favorite, 'doctor-dodge ball'.
We played girls against boys, teachers against students, and free-for-all death
match. By the end of class all students and teachers were exhausted!
