Music:
We finished learning He is Our Peace and This is the Day, our two new songs this week. We also played Freeze Dance at the end of class. Students enjoyed moving their bodies along with music.
Drama:
Today we read "Cat in the Hat." What a great story. Then we pretended to be cats and tried to fit into our hats.
Exploration:
What weighs more: A rock or a cup? Not an easy answer if you are a child. But through exploration and experimentation they were able to figure this burning question.
Arts and Crafts:
How important are hats? I'd say very important!! The Hong Kong summer requires a hat all the time, so today, we made hats. Hats of all different colours and sizes.
Movement and Coordination:
We were on the "beach" again today. Kids practiced rolling on a big and comfortable mat. We also mimicked "camels" in the "desert" carrying "goods" in the balancing exercise with beanbags.
