Music:
We perfected He is Our Peace and This is the Day, our two new songs this week. Put your child in front of the living room and get them to perform their repertoire. Freeze Dance was also another great closing activity with a bunch of different moves.
Drama:
Today in Drama we learned about the letter I. We read the story of the Little Red Hen, where she uses the phrase "I will do it myself. " We then acted out the story in class and practiced saying "I will do it myself".
Exploration:
Burrr why is it soooooo cold. Is it because we were playing with ice today? Wait salt does what to ice? Today we explored the properties of ice and the effects salt and other substances have on ice. At the end of class we did an awesome experiment involving ice in liquid form creating a lava lamp.
Arts and Crafts:
Why is it sooooooooo hot, today? Must be these long summer days! What better way to cool down then to make paper ice-creams. It's a pity we can't eat them; nevertheless, making them is the next best thing.
Movement and Coordination:
Toady, we set up an obstacle course today. Students got to revise what they learnt throughout the course. They practiced crawling, balancing, tossing, throwing skills. Kids had lots of fun in the sliding exercises!
