Music:
Yesterday, we began learning He is Our Peace. We continued to practice this song and we also began learning the song, This is the Day. The songs have been becoming more difficult each day, but students have been doing an excellent job and showing enthusiasm in learning new songs.
Drama:
Today in class we learned all about the Grouchy Lady Bug in his garden and all the visitors that he encountered. We then acted out the story as a class and retold it in our own words.
Exploration:
Today we became botanists exploring how plants grow. First, we watched a short video followed by an experiment. We placed some food coloring mixed with some water into a cup then put a stock of white cabbage in the cup. We will see over the next few days how the colored water moves up the plant through the xylem.
Arts and Crafts:
Today,we explored the story of the Gingerbread Man. It was time to get artistic and just like the lady in the story, the students made their own gingerbread man. Well done!!
Movement and Coordination:
We had a beach experience today. Kids had chance to mimic swimming motions on a bench and they also had fun playing beach ball and parachutes. Before we know it, these kids will be saving lives on the beaches of Hong Kong.
