Age 4: Session one, day four - July 10, 2014

Music:

Today in music class, we learned the entire song for Father Abraham and practiced singing the song along with the actions. The lyrics are a bit difficult, but students have been trying their best to learn the words.

Drama:

Today in 4yr old Drama we learned about the letter D and a boy named David. We also learned how to retell the story through movement as well as act out the story. 

Exploration:

Today, the kids were paleontologists. It was a day to discover dinosaur fossils and by using string, papers and colour pencils, the little paleontologists recreated what their dinosaur might have looked like. It was exciting to see dinosaurs of all different shapes and sizes.  

Arts and Crafts;

Today was another exciting day. We created man's best friend, the dog. This faithful creature has captured the hearts of many kids and I am assuming that some of the students might have one as a pet. What a way to celebrate and recognize this great animal by making a dog puppet. 

Movement and Coordination:

Today was tossing and throwing practice. Students took turns to practice tossing and throwing bean bags into the hoops. They also learned to toss scarfs into the air for a friend to catch them. It was good to see some team work and the kids loved moving around the classroom.
