(July 10) Ages 5-6: Yellow Groups A-E

In drama today we started a new book called "Swimmy" by Leo Lionni.  We started by learning a couple of long words: community and cooperation. The children enjoyed the illustrations and learned how a school of fish worked together to help one another.  We also enjoyed playing a cooperation game in groups.

Today in music class, we are learning the song "Behold, Behold." Jesus will knock at our hearts' door. We have to open the door and let Him in. He won't come in unless we open the door.  Some groups had a review of "stories about songs we are learning" and karaoke time with the songs we are learning.

Adventure activities  warmed up with a Balloon Challenge (aka Up and down). We then challenged the students with human knot.  Some groups also played a number of games around the theme of 'circles' including duck duck goose, elbow to elbow, and circle relay.

And in art class today, the Red D children completed their "Little Red Hen" Project and the Red Es started on their crayon drawing to depict an ocean scene. The Yellow A,B, & Cs created a "Thank You" card for their parents.
