Today in games and movements, we played the favorite
summer school game of all time, doctor dodge ball. The children showed honesty
and sportsmanship while trying to knockout the other team.
Today in art class we will start a new project but
continue exploring abstract art. Both classes will experiment using collage
techniques. The younger groups will create colourful tissue paper mosaics. The
older groups will look at the artist Matisse to create their own versions of
his iconic cut-outs.
In drama today, we worked on acting out various activities
with our movements and faces rather than just words. Students performed
the actions while others had to guess what they were acting out.
In music, we
are teaching sign language skills and several sign songs about Jesus and His
love for us. The kids are also learning the importance of conductors as musical
leaders.
In games and movement, day 4, our theme
is that God wants us to be helpful. God wants us to work together with others. We will discuss about Noah story, how they
had to work together to take care of all the animals. God wants us to work
together with others. We will play different relay games, using cones, bean
bags and hula-hoops.
