(July 17) Ages 7-10: Purple Group A

In music class Thursday we learned a song about family fun and we reviewed the songs we have learned.  We have been learning songs by Patch the Pirate about Christian character including Gratitude Attitude, Zip Your Lip, and Family Fun. We also have been talking about Jesus' love and how He wants to rescue us from our sins. Mr. Leung has also been teaching the children how to conduct and the creation of film music. The children had opportunities to use some professional music hardware and software to experience new technologies like music sampling and autotuning.
Friday we will have a concert with all songs learned and will also hear from Mr. Elliot Leung, who is an accomplished musician.

Today in games and movements ( 7-10 ) the students played basketball. The first half of the class we did some relay races with basketballs. Then the second half of the class the students were put into 2 teams and they played a match against each other.

In art class today we are drawing! All classes began our final project together. To finish our week about learning how to use art as a gift, each student drew their own page in a coloring book. We will reproduce the books so that each student will take one home tomorrow, full of fantastic drawings by their classmates.

In adventure activities today,  the theme was paper. We played games including a paper airplane distance contest  and another game called 'clear the land'

Today in Drama, we had some classes put on their original mini-plays, while other classes did a new exercise: acting out the parts of a story that is being told. Lots of laughs.
