Music:
Today we reviewed the 3 songs that we learned last week. We also learned a new song, He is Our Peace, based on 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." I have been pleasantly by so many talented kids in my classes. For some, a singing career is definitely on the far horizon.
Drama:
Today we read "Froggy goes to Hawaii". Then we sang a song about 5 green and speckled frogs, afterwards we took turns pretending to be 5 little frogs sitting on a log, eating bugs, then swimming like frogs in a pond.
Exploration:
O God, thy sea is so great and my boat is so small. Yes, the sea is so great. Today, we put on our explorer hat and experimented with objects that float and do not float in the water. Some myths were busted; for example, when you make a paper boat and get it really wet, it tends to sink to the bottom of the sea.
Arts and Crafts:
Today was the day to get in the water and see how fish live. On hot days like today, there is nothing more cooling than being in the water like the fish. The students spent the day exploring the sea and they made a paper fish bowl.
Movement and Coordination:
Today students had fun taking turns tossing dodge balls, scarves, beanbags and catching them with hands. Some of them will become amazing sports men and women and may even represent Hong Kong in the coming Olympics.
Today, we also had the opportunity to take group photos of each class.
